Laser Vision Correction
and LASIK

Experience the vision correction revolution that has helped thousands reduce or eliminate their need for glasses or contact lenses.

Whether you are nearsighted, farsighted or have astigmatism, if you are in good medical condition, you MAY BE a candidate for Laser Assisted in-Situ-Keratomileusis (LASIK).

Lasik reshapes the cornea so that light is focused more precisely on the retina of the eye. The entire procedure takes less than 30 minutes and most people return to work in one day.

How LASIK Works
In a Lasik procedure, the eye is anesthetized and a surface layer of the cornea is gently lifted. The underlying surface is treated with pulses of laser for approximately 30 - 60 seconds resulting in the reshaping of the cornea. The protective flap is replaced and this thin layer reseals itself without stitches. Healing is rapid and comfortable.

Custom Ablation
is an exciting enhancement to laser vision correction. This LADARvision wavefront-guided technology makes exact measurements of the eye, including the size of the pupil, then uses the data to return an ideal optical correction grid for that patient. Lastly, it uses advanced eye-tracking technology to synchronize the correction grid with the image of the patient’s eye during the vision correction procedure.
